Sanquhar Enterprise Company exists to strengthen and empower Sanquhar and its district as a thriving, inclusive, and sustainable rural community. We celebrate our rich heritage, from the world’s oldest working post office to our distinctive knitting traditions and Riding of the Marches, while embracing community-driven development that creates opportunities for all. Our vision is of a vibrant and resilient town where heritage is preserved, community voices are heard, natural assets are protected, and sustainable growth improves housing, jobs, infrastructure, and quality of life for current and future generations.
